Featured Poem 9/11/01:

My Child Loves Wisconsin

My child loves Wisconsin.
He has never lived anywhere else.
My child helps me to see the good in Wisconsin.
He shows me the hope in all of life.

My child doesn't mind the cold in Wisconsin.
He taught himself to ski.
My child doesn't miss Black people in Wisconsin.
He has Black, Hispanic, Hmong, Biracial and White friends.

My child feels at home in Wisconsin.
He says that home is where ever I am.
My child states that he is an African living in Wisconsin.
He operates from an international world view.
